Enabling Articulate Fields

by Dale Lloyd

/
1.

about

Originally composed for Jos Smolders' EARlabs in June, 2003. Presented here for the first time is an alternate version. The quieter, original version can be heard at the EARlabs Bandcamp page: earlabs.bandcamp.com

The piece involves stereo microphone and contact microphone recordings, a Moog Concertmate MG-100 analog synthesizer, plus mixing, editing and processing via computer.

An increase in listening volume with stereo speakers is highly recommended. Some of the fields are not only articulate in their expression, but subtle as well.

Please do not consult with your physician after using Dale Lloyd brand EAFs (Enabled Articulate Fields) if they happen to trigger unexpected imaginary side effects.

Thanks to Jos Smolders for his initial invitation to create this work for EARlabs presentation.
